(THERE ARE ZERO SPOILERS IN THIS POST! SCOUT’S HONOR!)

And on the drive home, we started talking about social networking. No surprise there. We discussed the sites we’ve used, like Livejournal and Myspace. I was on LJ for about 2 or 3 years. I met several people on there, and I even had a pen pal through the site. Her name was Ellie, she was from England, and we would write to one another every week or so. We exchanged Christmas presents one year and everything. It was lovely, as you can imagine.

But, why am I bringing this up?

Because we then transitioned to talking about Tumblr, and how it’s a completely different experience for me. My friends on here, everyone single one of them, are more authentic to me than you can ever imagine. I had fun and I enjoyed the people I met on Livejournal, but there were very few that I considered to be my legitimate friends. It’s different here.

I have real friends on Tumblr, and it truly means so much to me. I’ve met two of you in person, and I don’t plan to stop there. I treasure friendships more than most, so I feel very lucky to have you guys in my life.

Oh, and go see The Social Network. It was a fantastic movie and I plan on seeing it again. :)
